fish and vaccine

I started breeding guppies. My aunt gave me some and I bought the supplies. 

I really need the distraction and something to do. 

Also I'm fully vaccinated as of 26 Jul. So what now?

Izakaya gang

Kat and Vivi wanted to meet so I suggested we go to our regular izakaya, but Kat called and the owner was going to take his vaccine so I thought of the other izakaya beside. We didn't have much expectations but it was so damn good.

We ordered 3 sets of sushi with otoro, 2 of their signature egg, chicken karage, chicken hamburg and 3 bottles of sake. The sushi was so so good, the otoro melts in your mouth - it's same standard as the expensive good sushi I had in Japan. And 5 pieces for $30 was quite ok.  

Just look at the marbling of the sashimi. The Hotate is also really good. 

Then also the raw beef sashimi with raw egg. This is so good as well.

Besides me being mopey, it was a really good meal but too expensive. We spent $173 each, but we ordered 3 bottles of sake. Almost same price as the previous izakaya but this time the sushi is so worth going back for. We wanted to go again the following weekend but lockdown again. 

Mope.

feeling down

I miss my grandma. When she was alive, I would feel so much better after I talked to her, even if the topic wasn't related to whatever I was feeling. Just looking at her smile and assuring me, I would feel more confident and secure. After she passed away 6 years ago I would still talk to her in my mind or pray to her sometimes when I feel down, but I don't feel better. Now I don't know what to do when I feel down. 

These mornings I don't want to wake up.

The end of the cc era

It has been 4 months since it began in March.

Yesterday was the end of it. It's inevitable, we already knew it's going to end before it began, it's just for the thrill.

Honestly I'm just pissed and I should remain pissed. I mean I already done my best, but I already expected the ending to be like this. I'm giving myself 3 weeks to move forward.

Paying for AC

Urgh the aircon had been giving us problems for so many years and yesterday it's just not cold anymore. I hate it when it spoils suddenly and it is so difficult to sleep without AC. 

Luckily it started working again but there were times that it stopped working. The repair person came and diagnosed that the compressor is not working already and we had to change everything - the compressor and the indoor units, which will cost a few thousands. $3500 to be exact. 

And then I had to fork out $2800. Sigh. At least the AC will not be giving us problems for the next 5 years and the new unit looks better.
