Cocktail Week

Obviously I'm a cocktail fan and I've had too much to drink.... I mean, just $12 a cup who can resist that?? 3 drinks each on the first and second day ain't too much.

Leo's Flip

Unusual Negroni
This is my favourite called Sippy Cup from 28HK
and I got too high to taste this proper food

This is called Japanese Love Potion by some Japanese bar-tender. I can't remember exactly what's in there but it has rose petals, yuzu, rum and green tea.

FMCG friends

The best take-away from my reservist this time was my renewed connection with my team-mate who is currently working at Unilever. So we chatted for some time during ICT and I knew this was going to happen.

I don't think I will get a chance (and I don't need to anymore) to work at Unilever because I have friends who can get HALF PRICED BEN & JERRY'S ICE CREAM! Woohoo! Way better than waiting for those 2 for $20 NTUC discounts, this is 2 for $14 anytime from their staff shop.

I met him again at his office, they do encourage their staff to use their cafe with unlimited free food but he said you would get sick of it eventually, which I do agree, and there's no free food in the world - you have to work for it. Kinda true, if you consider their working hours.

Besides Unilever, I'm also grateful for my friend in P&G.
Time to stock up my limited edition SKII.

First reservist

I used to think that I was left out on the reservist list because I left the country previously but turns out, I was still called up for reservist training. (This means that I have to leave the country soon.)

Anyway today concludes my first ever In-Camp Training and I am quite fortunate that this was a relaxed high key because it was super slack and we didn't have to go outfield at all. The furthest was going to the forested training area behind our building. That's all.

The first day I couldn't get used to the pace. The day before I was at work so everything was just click click click, end. Everything seemed to be in slow motion and my brain just couldn't take the slower pace. And, I haven't seen my friends for 10 years already, all of them have huge tummies and dad bods. Some people just don't change but well, to each his own. Compared to 10 years ago, I think I'm a better version of myself now.

Second day we cleared IPPT, and I was 20 seconds away from Gold as usual but the results were suprising coz I didn't train at all since 8 months ago. Hm... I think I should be able to get the $200 more by the end of the year.

Third day reminded me how much I hate army. Putting on the uniform, doing all the heavy work, getting dirty, cold showers etc. Argh I hate cold showers. And the cookhouse food is still terrible sometimes. How is serving overcooked vegetables and syrup water healthy??

One good thing, they finally realised that shouting does not solve problems. Incentive does. And everyone's incentive is to finish everything and book out quickly.

Overall, I like the flexibility and efficiency at which we complete our training this time round. So after the weekend it was quite relaxing for us already, which is like free leave days from work. Coming up next is another one relaxing one in November, I hope I can get a gold for the IPPT then.
