wake up to gym and save

Every once in a while I really need a wake up call, like what the hell why is your tummy so big again?

It's not like I've been skipping gym but its more like my weights are too consistent that I'm not improving in any way, and I wasn't doing any cardio at all. And most of all, I have not been watching my diet. I keep snacking and eating extensively, like fried beehoon or wan tan mee in the morning. Now I'm training for my IPPT to get gold again, I feel better and healthier coz I've been doing cardio. It's the extra push or extra diet and it is so difficult with all these temptations urgh.

Also on spending, I just spent almost $100 this weekend although I planned not to spend anything -_-. Weiling texted me to go to orchard on Friday and we went walking around and I saw this Thermos vacuum insulated mug on sale at Takashimaya. It is perfect for my drinking nights and it can keep my strong zero/ gin tonic/ highball/ beer cold. $20. And we ate at tapas bar. $60. Please help.

I have really overspent this year, firstly Feb was a record 1.2k in daily expense, then 6k for Swiss trip. And now I have this candle obsession and drinking every weekend thing, how can I control??

Spending stamina patience

I realised when I work from home I keep shopping on taobao shoppee carousell because I am not spending money and I feel the need to spend. When I go to office I need to buy/pay for my meals and I'm always budgeting. So actually I might spend more while working from home despite saving on transport and food.

I've been putting things in my shopping list and thinking of getting them just because I want but I actually dont need them yet. It's so unhealthy, ok I need to stop spending extra money this month, unless I see something that's really value for money.

Also my running stamina is horrible right now. I ran for 1km at speed 11 and I felt like my heart is coming out of my body. I usually train for my 2.4km at speed 12.5 previously. What is happening!! It feels harder and harder to train for IPPT now, how am I going to get my gold $500 to buy a pair of sneakers!!

1. I need to train harder. Gym 4 times a week, with sit ups and running alternate. Especially the running.
2. Control my spending this month.
3. Be patient. Things will come naturally.

What I feel about Swiss

After not being overseas for 2 years it was so refreshing for all of us. I wonder how it started.. When we were in school I didn't actually feel the need to travel or go overseas, I was happy just wondering around SG, probably coz I didn't have money.

The first breath of fresh Swiss air in the cold morning once we stepped out of the hotel with the sun shinning on our faces. No masks. That was bliss. It feels so good. The weather was perfect for us, it was bright and sunny all the way, no rain no snow - it snowed on the weekend after we came back.
The people were surprisingly nice! Like the shop managers will greet you or apologize for not attending to you and they will bid you goodbye even if you didn't buy anything. We met very interesting people along the way, the first being the super friendly and funny store manager from Du Rhone Chocolate. He lets us try everything in the shop like free flow buffet lol. Then comes the super friendly sugar mummy from Luzern, and the super funny Bally store manager who lived in Singapore for 12 years and talked to us in Sg accent. Even on trains people will move around seats just to let us sit together, or help with our luggage etc. Really really nice and friendly people as compared to London or Paris, even the customs officers were funny and friendly. No scams, no thefts etc.

Most of the time our food was good, just that it was too expensive. Every meal is more than SGD50 and we didn't eat like really full. The portions were big though. Hotels were quite lacking compared to Asian hotels - nothing beats Japanese hotels. There were no room slippers nor kettles in the rooms, most rooms were quite basic. Shopping is expensive compared to London or Paris.

I'm not sure if I would come back, there's nothing much I would do or buy here, except for skiing probably. I mean, UK or France would be best for luxury items, I can also buy chocolates from there, I'm not really a watch or cheese person, UK gin is better as well. I bought 3 bottles of wine, 2 full bottles and 3 small bottles of gin, 1 small bottle of whisky and lotsa of chocolates. I also bought hot chocolate powder back and 2 Rituals candles hehe. I'm a fan of Rituals now and so much cheaper than Diptyque.
They bought Longchamp bags, Bally belt, I finally got my first LV - the aerogram pocket organiser which I love. Also, pictures from Iphone 13 pro is absolutely gorgeous.

It was a really good trip.
