J drunk

After the unexpected Chinese party (ok the party was bad but the game was fun), I went off hungry and bought sushi from Donki to eat before heading to drink with the usuals. I haven't been drinking with them for a while and because I'm going away for a while.

Jemmy came in drunk because he was in another party and the rest of the gang were ignoring him coz he was really high and active. After they went out to smoke only Jem and I were left at the table and we talked, I moved to sit beside him for a while because the aircon was blowing at me. Then they came back, we played 5-10, drank, sang some songs, then home time. Jem insisted on flagging a cab instead of grab and Edward called us twice.

I am still a bit in disbelief that it happened. I woke up with a bad headache. Stupid hangover. I'm never drinking so much at night. And I kept thinking about it now.

Upcoming trip and winter trip

Isnt' it strange? I am so unprepared for my next trip.

I am planning my Japan snow trip for this coming winter season and I feel more excited than my upcoming trip next weekend. I was scrolling through my IG and Neab's IG to show my friend and I felt like I want to be there immediately.

The white-and-blue-ness of everything just makes everything so calm and serene, and I totally feel so at home. The cold wind on my face, snuggling in my down jacket, onsen at night. Totally loves.

I can't wait to go to the fluffy place again. I think I'm gonna go twice this season.

And I always post this nearing the winter season. And I always love winter in Japan.

2 new people this weekend

Am I a part-time tour guide or part-time sg-settler now?

Last week Kyle was here, I wanted to rest a little bit this weekend before my trip next next week but no. I had the Saturday to myself so I went to Vivo to shop and borrow some books, then Nigel texted me to ask me to introduce me to a friend who just moved to SG.

So I met Jerry on Sunday, had coffee which was ok, then went to Donki for my hamburger steak and cold storage for my cheese, and went back for dinner. So while I was considering what to order from McD, Bernard texted me for dinner and he was at Hougang so I was like urggghhhhhh.

And after 45mins of travelling we met for Japanese collagen hotpot at Plaza Sing.

Haps life chose me.

spending weekend with Kyle

I told myself not to go out for the next few weekends leading towards my next holiday, but I went back home on Friday night and Domi texted me if I am going out tonight because he wanted to drink. Then Kyle also texted me he wanted to hang out with locals so I put two and two together, I went out to drink with Kyle and Domi on Friday night. Wow.

Anyway Kyle was visiting till Sunday and he was travelling alone, so I felt like he was Neab, so after drinking on Friday night, we went out for dinner on Saturday at PS café and drank some more. I brought him to the gang as well, it was good. Sunday we hung out some more until he was back to Vietnam. It's tiring to bring friends around but it's an investment and goodwill. 

And that was $240 gone, just one weekend. That's like half of what I usually spend in a month. To add on, I already spent $2200 booking my stuff even before I fly to my next holiday. Sigh.

New gym/running shoes!

My trusty Asics GT-2000 which I have worn for 4 years had finally soled out. The sole came out. Geddit? 

Anyway I bought an industrial strength glue to glue it back together but I doubt it would hold so I was around shopping for another Asics replacement. My Asics had served me super well in gym and in IPPT, and I am always a loyal Asics fan. And IPPT is coming round the corner. 

Kayano, Dynaflyte, whatever, I searched for the most value-for-money one, and I even went to the Asics outlet to try on a few pair but I just couldn't decide, until I went into running lab and the sales person introduced me to On Running Cloudflyer. The first time I tried them on, it was wow. It was like the first time I tried on my Asics, but much lighter. The best part is, the original price was $259 and it was on sale $179. It was a bit cheaper than Kayano, which was $197 but more expensive than GT-2000 $155. Hm.....

Anyway I bought it and it feels amazing -  so light and bouncy. I hope I can get gold for IPPT this time round.
