So this marks the start of the last recess week in my university years.
I have been occupying the first few days of recess week time with my final year project which is in good progress after the meeting with my prof on Tuesday.
Also, I have midterms after recess week which I studied and did tutorials.
so why the rush to complete everything? It's only wednesday.
Because I have been chosen to participate in the Hunger Games.
Kidding.
Spiderman is on a secret mission till Sunday.

dangerous lab
FYP-ing until the submission of the final report!
I have been handling so much chemicals in my lab the past weeks that I'm afraid to get implications on my body. I used on the equipment previously used for poisonous chemicals without knowledge until my mentor told me.
I used Acetone so many times with my bare hands until my friend told me it corroded his mechanical pencil when he spilt it. I also inhaled a lot of Acetone while washing my glass materials.
I breathed in so many of my micro capsules while using the air dryer.
Dang.
For my own protection I will use the clumsy surgery gloves to handle chemicals, wear uncomfortable masks when air drying my capsules and not touch anything foreign in the lab.

sometimes i wonder if it is a good or bad thing to leave the group.
As much as I felt that I missed some of the guys in the group, I do not feel bad at all for the rest. Clearly the ungrateful ones. and i really feel that our friendship is built on a superficial plane and some people are just blind to other's bad characters and personalities.
I give too much and take too little. at least that's what i think i do.
too little appreciation. i try too hard i guess. well i don't have to try at all now.
I just hate to leave things hanging, you know what i mean?
but i want to get used to this. without all that nonsense and crap.
Maybe I should cut off all ties, just like ZN.
Yes, the best revenge is to live better.
Move on dude, there's nothing left.

the wise korean guy
An insight of korean life from my ex-boss, HD:
Korean companies like Samsung, LG has really good employer welfare. They even pay for the kid's University tuition fees. There is a downside nevertheless, their overall salary is lower, higher work load and stress level and long working hours.
Korean businesses are actually very efficient like the Japanese. The order of furniture is delivered within the same day.
It is actually true that parents will give money to their kids for plastic surgery. Not as exaggerated as we think, it is usually some simple double eyelid operation.
Korean New Year falls exactly the same day as Chinese New Year and they too, give money to their children, not in angbao but in the form of a white envelope. They usually stop giving them once they reached university. They give white envelopes in any other occasions: weddings, funerals, birthdays etc.

Strange V day
Today is such a strange day.
1. I woke up before 9.30am today. I haven't done that for many months and I actually don't feel sleepy at all.
2. Somebody really got a floating castle on tripletown. I suspect its because he kept telling me about his floating tower then I told him to talk to me when he gets a floating castle and his ego cannot take it. HAHAHA.
3. Dix actually replied me on very random stuff and wished me happy valentines! I asked her to visit the TCM clinic in school and she said she sprained her thumb too. haha. poor thing.
4. Mc Donald's value meals became so cheap omggggggggggggg. To think that i used to miss the $5 extra value meal last time. The queue was super duper long today.
5. Starbucks had one for one drink and cupcake set promotion today! It is so rare for Starbucks to have 1 for 1. Me had mocha frap decaf and red velvet cupcake.
6. I met my pri 5 form teacher at the school gate while walking home and she thought I looked familiar. Haha we randomly chatted a little while she waited for a cab.
7. Theng sent me a happy valentine (friendship) video and I wished her happy wedding haha

LEGOS
I haven't got this excitement of anticipation since Gundam

free semester
This semester feels so different!
Its like the best semester ever in my university life because I am only taking 4 subjects plus a project. I end school before 2.30 almost everyday technically and I have the freedom to change my after-school activities to very random plans like going to the lab for fun, taking a dip in a pool, hanging out at 3.2 or going bukit timah with the guys for lunch.
Oh and I wake up at 10.30-11am everyday.
All my lectures are recorded so I have can skip the only an hour of lesson on Tuesday and Wednesday. I could meet Betty for lunch in Raffles Place, I could go to orchard to catch a movie after waking up, dimsum lunch at taste paradise or just randomly eat somewhere.
The flexibility of time gives me so much freedom! No tutorials, no project deadlines (except FYP). Maybe I can finish my gundams too. School is part-time.
I am having so much chocolate these days.

Starting pay $4890, you save on uniform, food, school fees and really almost everything else, on top of that, you get bonuses, wedding gifts and all. That is really loads of savings and money. But as YY's detailed description of me, I am not made for army stuff.

大姨丈
病了多久~痛了多久
生老病死总难免
至少你努力撑了好长一段时间

Just learnt that he just passed away this morning, my parent are going back to PD again as well as their generation. He was sick for the past year and had to spend the CNY in hospital this year. Many of them went up to KL to visit him.
A really friendly and cute chap and always smiling, he's one of my dad's closest friend. Once during CNY he saw that I was so bored watching TV and he was going out to buy some fruits, he brought me along in his really old vintage car. And I still remember he always give me extra ang bao although I told him Da Yi already gave me.
So this post is dedicated specially, because the house is not the same without him.

so...... its just another day with dinner with uni friends at Wild Honey and another celebration at Itacho and Delicious.
The difference is, I removed my birth date the day before on facebook and it really show who exactly remembers your birthday. Although it's sad that many friends only post on your wall or text you superficially because facebook reminds them of your birthday, the real sweet ones are those who doesn't need facebook reminders.
