elearning week

Elearning week came at a superb timing! Its like another recess week for me, minus the lab parts. Catching up on thermodynamics is actually quite fruitful, not much useful lectures were uploaded, and i had too much sleep.

I went swimming on friday, my free day and now there's the terrible tan-lines.

My back is now more tan, but my butt.... is still white.
when i look into the reflection of my entire backview it reminds me of a white-butt monkey.
Ok now i have burnt some calories, I proved myself worthy of the 2 pints of ben n jerry's in the fridge! yay!

I'll be very busy these few weeks, quizes next week, my project business plan is due next next week which i have started a little scratch and catching up on tutorials coz exam's up on a few.

i am seriously oversleeping!
i waste too much time sleeping and lying on the bed and i'm wasting my youth!
i can't go on like this, i will sleep early and wake up early from nowwwwwwwwwwww.

guys vs girls

ya sometimes i do realise that i'm a jerk.
But i don't like to keep repeating the same things over again or answer things that you obviously know the answer.

like sometimes i will say bad stuff, but they'r all true!

for example, a friend has grown fatter.

i will say oh he's grown fatter, i know its bad for him but its a fact. On the other hand, it actually helps him to become aware of it and monitor his weight, so he can do something about it.

so i think its better to be truthful rather than keep thinking about it and not tell.

ok thats the case for guys.

for girls, they are more sensitive and one sentence can turn into a book of thoughts, that is overthinking. that is the reason for their ability to multitask.

guys are more straightforward.
ok i will become a nicer person.

the eye

warning: this is not for the faint-hearted

a week ago it was just pain,
the next day it was just a mere swell.
for the past week i was afraid to go out because of the swelling.

my guy friends said it will go away on its own,
my girl friends said it was better to see the doctor.

when i thought it was getting better, it bloomed into an full fledged bomb- a ticking one, ready to detonate any minute.

Unfortunately i have a presentation tmr and i can't possibly present my slides with the bomb rite? everyone will just stare at it instead of the slides. what a good timing to have the stupid thing. its my only presentation for my elective.

So before it bombed i bombed some money on the doctor. Medical consultations are so expensive nowadays!! Deactivating the bomb cost a freaking $52!! gosh.

MC for tmr, my groupmates will cover for my presentation.
Lucky for elearning week this week, i dun have to go to school until thursday and hope i recover by then!

How to go out like that?

march already!

Time passes like an arrow, day and night passes like a rocket, and its now March already!?
It simply means 1 more month to exams and I am still mentally and physically unprepared to face the onslaught of exams!

I realised i am taking way too many subjects for a normal person to handle. Maths, Electric, Thermodynamics, Manufacturing, Engine graphics, Coping with culture, Biz Finance, lab and EID. I can ignore Culture and lab for the moment because of SU option and lab is not examinable.

I am suffering the consequences of not revising and reading up A LOT of my stuff during recess week and now the only option is to sacrifice my weekday nights and weekends to catch up on lectures and tutorials.

Procrastination is our enemy and i am employing strict methods to control my internet/computer usage so that distraction is nowhere near.

hais. Clear my cloudy brain to make way for new information. Aim is to do everything by April, which is quite possible with my current progress.

you know you have bad luck when...

you did very badly for a 30% quiz...
and then it rained when you have to walk from one bus stop to another in sandals...
and you have nowhere to sit on the bus...
and your friend texted you that kelly clarkson is coming for a concert on 27 april but you have an exam unitl 7pm that day...

sighs!!!

My Kelly Clarkson is already gone....
Since you've been gone all i ever wanted is to breakaway from a moment like this because of you...

quite a good rest and exercise to keep my stamina going!

self discipline

i really believe in motivating yourself to do things, even those you dread but in long term the mind is strong but the body is weak.

in diet
since osaka it has been like a bottomless pit, everthing and anything goes inside including calorie bombs like ice cream, cakes, deep fried stuff,
and coupled with the chinese new year, how can anyone resist the alluring golden crust of the pineapple tarts or the sweet juicy mandarin oranges?!

and ever since macdonalds came out with the breakfast deluxe, it's like a ritual every week to have brunch at least once with the macdonald-breakfast-loving uni friends.

those late nite suppers.. esp the dim sum at 1am, junk food, CNY goodies (loads at home)...
hello 3-months-pregnant tummy.

in school
i just can't get up for morning lessons anymore, even thou i slept for so long.
the video recording and mass tutorials further motivates me not to go to school in the morning and right now for me, school is at edventure.

i wouldn't have touched my tutorials if not for those quizzes that just went past. just finished thermodynamics, maths, and left electric (1 tutorial done), biz finance (3 tutorials done) and manufacturing (0 tutorials done) when i should have finished 6 tutorials each by now.

in fitness
the day before i just ran for the first time in... i think a month and super CMI. Already breathless after half the distance and i stopped a total of 4 times.

To think i used to run 3 times a week without stopping and do some training on my own.
It's terrible, i'm just being complacent juz because i passed this year's ippt.


oh wells...
i guess i must change my lifestyle from now.

life still goes on.
A good horse never eats the grass it had looked back.
just move on dude.
