zn post-wedding treat

It's another calorie bombing weekend after HK!

Pizza and cookie making on Saturday, then Zn's after-wedding treat at an expensive Korean restaurant, ice cream at cold stone and drinking and KTV after.

I went for a run on Sunday and felt so breathless after 3 rounds. 2 years ago I used to run 5km without breaking a sweat. Looks like age is really catching up with me, and at this rate I would probably fail my ippt next year. Sighs.

CNY is coming! Dilema every year whether to go back or not.

Lucky draw laptop and the moth

So ever since my grandfather past away, a moth will always appear in my house at least once a year.

One of the most unforgettable year was when this really huge moth just park itself on the window outside my house and it drew so much attention from the neighbours because it's really really huge.

I went out to throw the garbage and the next thing when I was back, it just appeared like that. It's really kinda scary. It's wingspan was almost 1 meter and the entire thing was bigger than my face! So after a while we decided not to disturb it and went back to our houses and it was gone as sudden as it appeared.

And if I recall correctly, something good will always happen to us. For example, this year was the first time I saw a moth since I was back from China and it disappeared as sudden as it appeared on the wall of my living room. The next day I won the second price of my company DnD! An acer aspire ultrabook!

Although it's a little scary, I always believe it's his way of visiting us and giving blessings. Thanks for the good luck!

Well well, I need to sell off the laptop real quick before it acer expires.

all according to plan

Fitness plan. Check.
Swimming every week. Check.
Golf lesson. Check.
Travel plans. Check.
Finish Neil Gaiman book. Check.
Baking. Check.
Waiting for new job. Check.

So far so good, all is going according to plan.
I need to be consistent and motivate myself if not the momentum will be gone and I'll just be lazy. Consistent!

more weights

I've been working out quite extensively lately on alternate days to kick up my metabolism and eating a lot of meat for that protein intake.

It really has some cool effects on my body. For example my body, especially the arms, feels so tight and sore than usual. I also can feel my sleeves getting tighter after every workout session. Maybe I overworked my arms coz I have problems lifting and taking off my shirt in the shower. Even as I am typing right now I can barely feel my arms and my whole body is so sore.

However, I know I need to level up my weights but I've already max out so I need to buy more weights. If I increase my weights I will also need to get a real gym bench because I don't want to have an accident where my old wooden bench collapse when I'm doing bench press. That would end up very ugly.

I need to clear some space or re-arrange my room a little bit for the bench. Hm mmm... I need to keep the momentum and motivation going for at least a few months.

New Year Cycling

Despite having a quiet New Year's Eve watching The Amazing Spiderman while drinking sparkling rose wine, the ending of the movie came at the right time when fireworks started appearing in front of my window!

Happy 2014! The first day of the year I was up at 8.30am at ECP for cycling with the peeps.
The weather was really fine! Sunny and windy and I love the fresh air by the beach. And then we had lunch at Changi Village and went to a new and really nice place for some karaoke. The last time I sang was like half a year ago!

Nice start to the year. Cycling on the New Year? New tradition.
Next year I'll be skiing on the new year.

Looking back 2013

January to March
Spent the first day of the year climbing the famous Hua Shan in Xi an.
Still in my regular life of work, gym, sleep.
Organised my first company DnD in Shanghai as the director.
My first birthday overseas with friends.
Returned to Singapore for 2 week for CNY break as well as for work and as usual, went back to Port Dickson for Chinese New year. Oh the twins came back this year and I hoping next year more will come.

April to June
Visited Zhengzhou, 云台山,少林寺,洛阳 during Qing Ming Festival.
Visited to Nanjing for work trip and came back to a broken house. Epic life in China. Lost my new laptop and started to resent the place.
Mum came to visit with a relative in a tour group.
Visited Beijing for Labour day holidays and climbed the Great Wall of China.
Started leading 2 big projects with a month deadline.
Visited Chengde Summer Mountain resort for the Dragonboat Festival.
Got a new laptop thanks to Alwyn.

July to September
Choir peeps came to visit like finally!
Completed my first year in Shanghai and finally confirmed my trip back.
Visited the amazing Huang Shan and Qingdao for a disappointing beer festival because I want to cover both before I'm going back.
Got to know Evan and stayed at his place for almost 2 weeks while packing my stuff for my return trip.
Launched my final project and flew back during the weekend.

September to December
Returned to Singapore and started working in the local office while looking for opportunities elsewhere.
Started my routine life of taking the shuttle bus to the office and back and borrowing comics.
Discovered MeM.
Went to Siguniang mountain and Juzhaigou valley for a very awesome Autumn, experiencing hiking for 8 hours a day and altitude sickness and snow mountains.
Zhengnian's wedding, I was one of the brothers.
Went back Shanghai for training and to get most of my belongings back while settling bank, phone and gym.
A close colleague found out she had breast cancer =(
Shanghai had the worst air pollution in the worse with pm2.5 beyond 600 and I am so glad I came back.
Discovered Omegle.
Met up with Betty for a shot for my next job.
Huiting's wedding!
Met up with Issey who returned from Japan.

2013 seemed like a very long year.
The time I spent in Shanghai felt like very long ago, like a year before and I actually don't miss that place at all! I just recapped so many things that has happened in 2013 that I thought was long ago.
I went to so many places! And I'm also so glad I'm back here to witness so many moments like weddings and stuff.
As usual, my life for the first half had been very epic but one year and a half into working life, I actually feel bored already. Of course I have gained experience on how to handle things better. I do need a change in career soon and more places to go.

Onwards, I can feel 2014 is going to be a very exciting year. Charge in 2014!
