now i've clocked more mileage as a driver!
dat day i juz drove to changi airport with my mum to fetch my sis back frm hk and back. long trip.
yesterday i had the car the whole day!!! haha actually it's not my car it's my auntie's car which she always din use. and it's a camry so it's quite big as compared to my dad's car. fuel and cashcard provided so quite shiok. and my cousin say can crash one coz they got another car (a benz) at home.
so went out with my cousins for yogurt icecream which is super good at holland v!! it's called froslick or soemthing like dat. super nice! always got queue somemore
one thing about big cars.. very dangerous. hahax.. coz it's very big very hard to park.. it occupies most of the lane space.. so therefore i will not buy a big car next time. mayb a mini cooper or a coupe or something.
watched rule #1 which is quite scary.. coz i haven been watching scary movies for a LONG TIME. i think the last one i watched is silent hill. hahahx. and the movie's quite disturbing. so i dunno how to rate it. it's a very good scary movie, but it scared mi so i dun like.
after dat went for lixian's party.. at her condo clubhouse. really like a wedding dinner like dat lor! haha.. must write msg at the autograph booklet also. the theme is blue black!! haha so everyone looks like they got pinched. ok not farnie. the food is not bad!
dat ends up saturday. heng i cancelled my tuition.
today i tried to bake mango cake... but nice smell when i made the mango puree and the cake was baked halfway in the oven.. wah the mango smell really very nice. but too bad i think not enuff flour.. coz they said 2 cups and i put 1.5 cups (coz dat's wad i left) soooo it turns out like some kueh. and my mum still say nice. faints. i really wanna throw away the cake and make a new one.. haix. quite sad about the failure cake. my first failure cake.
erm this week my money-saving plan is not working very well.. luckily i haf some spare cash or petty cash frm my tuition for reserve purposes. haha like the fed reserve like dat. continue money saving plans!!!

exercise and sun
hi blog i haven been writing on u for a while.. but i still got visit u.
since i start work at citibank i've been coming home like 6.30++ and tired already. no energy to do anything except to eat and watch tv. dat day i almost forgot to bathe lor. anyway the job is not tiring physically.. but it's really super sian. really repeating everything the whole day. haix.
i've been eating quite a lot for dinner!!!! i dunno why! i'm getting fat. and i'm getting whiter!! i need to get darker real soon.
i need some exercise!!!!
i need some sun!!!!!!
argh. how to excercise and get sun when i'm at work?????
oh btw my workplace really has a breath-taking view. seriously. everyday i see the big big ferris wheel singapore eye right in front of me.. coz i'm at the 12th floor.. and beyond dat is the marina dam still under construction. and there's cars at the highway.. and when i walk around the place i can see esplanade.. all the water bodies and the suggested F1 track!!! i think when the F1 comes we can watch it from our office quite clearly la. super cool. dun need to get tickets also. haha
i found a super good thing to occupy me when nothing's left for me to do!! the citi intranet!!! hahahaXx.. i learnt quite a bit of stuff in the intranet too! they have all those articles.. and recently i read the meeting report!!
but it's really hard to understand.. i had to read it many many times b4 i can understand wad's going on. they reported about the recession in the US and analysed the situation.. hahax.. such info cannot be revealed!!! but it's valuable to me coz i might be going boston soon! qutie interesting to see all those graphs they plotted.
good for me, i can read the intranet or else i'll be practically learning NOTHING at all. but they seldom update the intranet. -_-
and today after work i came home to do some recording since no one's around. haha nobody's around then i dare to record.
i really really cannot be of recording material. i'm really very lousy. singing live is better. haix. either the problem lies with me or the mic is lousy. ok both plays an equal part. but more lies with me. i have all those problems... haix.
alrighty. tml's lixian's bdae party. and must meet up with cousin to discuss details about the trip. mayb will update again tml. cya.

bad singing/recording!!
so far i've been quite successful in my money saving plans. i haven been spending money on anything not important yet. hahax.. and i've been staying at home this wkend so i didn't spend a cent this wkend. hahahax. jian rite, eat and watch tv and surf net at home is free.
I SUPER LONG NEVER WATCH MOVIE ALREADY! i super wanna watch spiderwick.
today i just found out dat my singing wasn't as good as b4... or mayb it wasn't good b4 too. i'm serious. i found a very remarkable device attached to my computer called the earpiece with a mic.. and i already had a sound-engineering software in my comp, so i attempted to record a song.
the thing is there's no feedback from the mic to earpiece coz it's a one way mic.. so i can't hear myself. so record until quite shiok.. and when i played back to listen.. erms. i almost wanna puke. IT WAS SO LOUSY!!!!!!! pitchy everywhere.. the tone.. the notes all dat never hold properly.. the pronounciation all dat. omg.. it was really lousy. althou the mic was not good, but it does not affect the pitch and notes!!
it was super ultra nan ting. and i realise recording songs is really a hard thing to do.. everything must be so precise.. so cheers to all the good singers!
now i really understand how much work a singer has to put in just for a recording. all ur weaknesses and strengths are revealed through a recording.. dat's super true.
n those who can sing live well doesn't mean they can record well.. so those who think they can sing well... go do a recording and listen for yourself! if i get a better mic i think the results will be a bit better. hahax.

plasma tv
oh i realise i haven mentioned that my mum juz bot a panasonic 42 inch plasma TV for the living room.
it's reeeeeeeallly huge and the screen is so big and it's super ideal for watching movies!!!!!!! woohoo!!!!!!! hahahx.. i still haven got used to the size of the screen.. it's really super big compared to my previous 29 inch. and quite good for watching cartoons also. hahax. good thing it can connect to my com next time can watch my movies or anime on the tv.
but we still dunno wad to do with the old tv thou.
anyway. i went to check out the prices of air tickets to boston. IT'S SUPER EXXXX.... i'm super ultra sad... haix. good thing is dun need accomodation coz we'r staying at cindy's apartment. but still the air ticket is super ex. i can't bliff it. haix.

kailing's surprise
wednesday nite i went for another surprise visit again! hahaXx.. it seems dat everytime i drive it's for surprising people.
so at night, i went over to fetch woon.. on the way collected sida n lj.. to NTU(again and same block somemore) to surprise kailing at 12midnite! coz it's her 21st bdae and we bot a whole bunch of marble balloons!! very pretty!
then her bf brought us in (deja vu isn't it) we went in and shouted surprise!!!!!
the expression was priceless!! haha seriously!! and she became so red and cried a bit coz she was really surprised!! hahax i'm getting so addicted to surprising people.
and after dat went her room to chat abit until her next door person came over to tell us she could hear everything n couldn't sleep. so we went to woon's place to eat some prata. and they were so paranoid coz i never put my triangle plate so on the way there they put for mi coz they dun really trust mi with the driving... diaos. i'm really a safe driver. serious.
haha so i did my first public parallel parking and parked too close to the kerb. nvm dat.. the pratas and food were quite good!! my prata bomb is standing.. i prefer the normal one thou.. and the maggie goreng super nice. roti john also.
so ate and chatted until 3am.. sent all of them back to where they belonged and home at around 3.30am bathe and stuff slept at 4 and woke up at 7am for work. ahhaha... so i became a zombie at work. the work is for zombies anyway.. brainless stuff. haix.
TGIF not juz any friday it's good friday. so thursday is bad.

citi again
ok i dunno where to start.
oh yah. last wkend i kept thinking i have somewhere to go to do something. but i din remember.. so nvm. and suddenly on tues i remembered. i forgot to go NUS open house. diaos
nvms.
anyways.. i've got another job at citibank. it's the citibank not private bank. it's really boring me. i feel like a robot in there. really boring doing the same thing. haix... i think i'm gonna wait until the end of the month then ask wendy to find another job at the private bank for mi. (btw wendy's my agent)
it's at millenia tower which is a quite far walk frm cityhall mrt.. but i'll walk la exercise. hah.
it's really a big difference in the private bank and citibank. hm.. private bank i'm working in a more frontline than citibank, where i'm doing the supporting. haix. i dun really learn anything in my current job except to be a robot and do the same thing which is nothing exciting. argh. quite sad. how i wish to go back to capital square to work! at least the people are more interesting and tok more and more farnie.
i had the WORST JE-CCK mrt ride ever after my first day or work. i was standing.. on my left is a very smelly sweaty old man.. and my right a YDR was mumbling and singing some stupid indian song as if we can't heard wad he's singing. in front of mi another YDR was scratching his hair and i can see white flakes falling. OMG. it was the WORST RIDE EVER.
my 5 sense organs rotted immediately.
i really find the job non enriching and non entertaining. there's nothing we can entertain ourselves with except the 10cent vending machine. i tell u all the drinks are 10c onli and all proceeds to charity. hahax. it's very addictive. onli 10c.
but if i dun work i dun haf the money to go to boston. haix. really hope wendy will find private bank job for mi.

first drive
my first time was given to huiyu, yk and huiting. 3 people. first drive after passing the test. dun think dirty!
hahahax.. i was quite nervous at around 8.30 coz the drive was 9.30.. it's like i drank coffee!! haha! so nervous when i entered the car i cannot turn the engines on. and i was in the car for 5 minutes. diaos. haha.. nvm.. after sometime i got used to the car already!! actually my family car quite ez to get used to la... then i picked up huiyu and yk.. then the rest i quote from huiting's blog. ahhaha
from huiting's point of view:
"then tonight, while i was just finishing up my bio slides, there was a knock on the door. and i opened and was so stunned to see jul standing there, coz she didnt really know how to get to my room.. then she said "i have a surprise for you"
and huiyu ernie yk just suddenly sprang out of nowhere!!! OMG!!!! i was so stunned and happy to see them (esp. ernie!!) that i started screaming! wahahhaa.. so happy that i almost wanted to cry!!! wahhhh..they delivered my ultra belated bdae pressie to me! hahaha.. it's a dorothy perkins wallet (yes, finally a new wallet!), and a mng basics which ernie sprayed the words 'i will stop(hui ting!)' on it! wahaha. so nice!! i loved everything!
then ernie just passed his driving test! so after talking for very long, and they going home liao, i pestered him to drive me around.. hahaa. so we got into his car, and halfway thru', deardear called and said he cooked soup for us!! wahahahaa. damn high.
so we went back to hall again after dou feng and had nice nice soup! it's really canned soup, but it's really really nice, and esp. deardear took the effort to prepare for us! :) then after that i just sent them back and that's the end of my very happy day! THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS for coming over!! i was seriously super gan dong to see you'all! =)) and thanks jul, cy and deardear for aliasing with them! *hugs**"
ya.. had quite an adventurous nite with friends in the car.. and toolbox was really very nice (the soup too).. and they two make a great couple!
haha.. glad to say both the car and the people were very safe. so must believe that the driver is very safe too. and i hope i din past any speed cameras.
juz some randoms... i think i get good luck after baking cakes leh. hahahx.
the first time i baked carrot cake..we went for first overseas batam trip..
the second time i baked banana cake.. i got a call for the citi private bank job
the thired time i baked apple cake.. i got a call for citibank again... but din get the job. but i went shopping at springfield sale and rv concert.
i seriously think i should bake another cake so i will get a call for a job again. hahaha.
anyways juz help mi frens promote the blogshop!! it's for girls. but got guys tshirt also.
i saw the things.. quite nice leh esp some of the dresses... the guys tshirts quite cute but it's not my size =(

rejected resume.
Bad news...
i still cannot get a job!! argh quite sad.
after i went to citigroup to work for 3 days.. 1 wk later the agent got mi another job at citigroup private bank again.. so she sent my resume to them.... but they DIN ACCEPT MI!! haixxxxxxxx quite sad. the job juz fits nicely leh.. starts at march 17th then ends on june 17th then after dat can go boston already.
and pay's not bad too.
i was quite excited when she called mi and say she send my resume.. so i went shopping and bot 2 long sleeve shirts to wear to work. wanted to get shoes also.. haix.......................................

TP test
it stopped raining the moment i got into the car with the tester.
my circuit was PERFECT. no points at all. when i was turning into a lane for narrow parking.. a guy was doing the parking so i stopped there. and i saw his wheel got closer and closer... and mount kerb. in my mind i was thinking 'oh haha fail liao'

on the road... i was on test route 9 bukit gombak there. everything was fine until i was going to turn right.. the lights turned amber and i still had 3m to go. i turned nevertheless and the tester told mi 'u must stop, amber light'. oh wells turn already.
everything was ok. he changed the test route to a simpler one, no u-turns all that juz plain driving. we were going to bbdc after a short drive, and i was turning in i felt quite excited coz everything was well.. then i accidentally stepped on the accelerater instead of the brake when turning in. oh dies. he steps on the tester's brake immediately. die. when tester steps on the brake or do anything: immediate failure.
results:
1 tick (6 points) fail to slow down when approaching road hazard
1 tick (2 points) fail to use appropriate gear
2 tick (2 + 2 points) wide turning
2 tick (2 + 2 points) sharp turn
1 tick (2 points) incorrect checking of blind spot/mirror
1 tick (2 points) fail to check mirror b4 moving off
2 tick (2 + 2 points) fail to check mirror b4 slowing down
total: 24 points
an accumulation of 20 points or more constitutes a failure.
BUT
6 points are ticks in the box. its doesn't count as a demerit point.. so...
18 points juz pass.

the tester was very very very nice. not those strict faced ones. from his tone u can tell. he din even fail me for the amber light! yay! and i din hafta do u-turns all that! and no rain!
i took 21 normal driving lessons, 2 autocar, 2 revision lessons.
total spent on BBDC: $1744.40.
ok dat's really a lot to give juz for a stupid card. seriously it's really expensive. u can go tour around japan or korea or a good shopping trip at hongkong with that. but no choice, that's the onli way to drive a car.

the tester was very very very nice. not those strict faced ones. from his tone u can tell. he din even fail me for the amber light! yay! and i din hafta do u-turns all that! and no rain!
i took 21 normal driving lessons, 2 autocar, 2 revision lessons.
total spent on BBDC: $1744.40.
ok dat's really a lot to give juz for a stupid card. seriously it's really expensive. u can go tour around japan or korea or a good shopping trip at hongkong with that. but no choice, that's the onli way to drive a car.
so yay passed on first time!

3 days in the citi
i've been missing for the last 3 days including today...guess wad?
tuesday evening dat agent called mi for a 3 day assignment at a bank.. then never give mi much details also.. but i was thinking i got nothing on for the next 3 days then i juz agreed lor. or else no income also quite sad.
so.... at nite quickly went for a haircut to make it neater.. tried on my long sleeves and black pant. hah coz i never wore office wear b4!! and the next day 8.30 start work already!
The Place:
Capital Square, Citigroup
i worked at Citigroup Private Banking. Citigroup is not the same as Citibank. Citibank is a subsidary of Citigroup.. haha it's a bit complicated. and the place i work at is dealing with global stuff so all the top notch people are working there.
the security there is suuuuuper tight. once u enter u need the pass to take the lift. and the pass onli assigns u to one floor. but my pass is those staff pass so can go any floor. haha. AND once u reach the floor it's not so simple. u need another pass to enter the offices or u can ask somebody to bring u in. then first day i din haf the pass.. so it's quite troublesome..
and there comes the ultimate: the first day i went toilet.. wah it's super clean and good... feels like a 5 star hotel toilet. then after i'm done..going out.. the toilet door can't be opened!! then i saw the thing. THE TOILET DOOR NEEDS THE STAFF PASS TO OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!! AND FIRST DAY I DUN HAF THE STAFF PASS! OMG! so i was stuck inside for like 10 mins pretending to be washing hands while waiting for people to either come in or go out. -_-
The Environment:
first time working in banking and finance sector.. hm.. the office is quite dead.. as in not much interaction between people. quite cold. as compared to my previous office where people are always toking to each other.. laffing away.. but this is really cold. dun think everyone noes each other.
BUTTT my department is super farnie!!!!!!! esp. the boss and big boss's secretary. boss kenny is really super farnie.... and big boss's PA is like a big mama very motherly! and she very farnie also.. she loves to make jokes of kenny in front of me which is super farnie. ahaha so the whole department is unlike the other departments.. coz we are always so BZ then somebody will dabao lunch/dinner then we'll eat together in the office.. dat's when all the laffter comes but when work comes everyone's super serious.
one more thing. working there makes me feel very stressed and it's quite fast paced. which is good and bad coz time passes by SUPER fast but u haf loads to do. means OT late nites.

haha i'm doing odd jobs la.. juz going around helping stapling papers.. shredding papers.. printing... arranging.. packing... cutting all that. haha
first day i worked until 6.. second day OT until around 11pm! today until 5.30 coz i left from the airport. dat's why work 3 days and feels like a week and there's almost OT everyday coz another temp staff there tells me he always work until quite late.
AND..... i found out about LOADS of things in the banking and finance sector. really leant a lot of things and good experience. but i wished i could work longer there coz it's actually quite good pay. haha.. and the food there is SUPER NICE.
OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I HAF TO MENTION THIS!!
this is the first time in my life in Spore i've witnessed the tissue paper phenomenon. and the first time in my life i've used the tissue paper phenomemon. it's really facinating the first day i saw tissue papers on the tables and chairs. haha.. coz i'm always eating alone.. i asked the guy to help mi look out for my seat.. then he asked mi to put my tissue paper there so i did. then i bot my food... my seat's still not taken!! ahha it's really amazing.
quite uncomfortable wearing office wear coz not used to it. and the shoes keeps cutting my heels very pain.
working in banking and finance really puts u to another world. it's like a world of it own. quite scary seriously. my boss wears LV gucci prada and when we were having lunch heard he bot a US$1900+ LONG SLEEVE SHIRT last time. OMG. and his bag gucci, belt and shoes LV. watch prada. colleague also has prada bag. CKJ jeans. and u go to the carpark u dun see toyotas hondas mitsubishi. instead.. BMW.. Merz.. Porche.. Audi.. very scary world of its own. really.

rejected job
the worst feeling: being rejected.
agnes helped mi send my resume to spore powers for the 7.50/hr job but i nv get shortlisted. very sad. b4 dat i was even considering if i wana get the job anot. haix. so sad.
so i went to recruit express to look for job, and the person offered mi a 3 months job at maybank, 6/hr. so little... i might as well go somewhere else where there's 6.50 or 7/hr. i wun accept the 6/hr la it's seriously very low. and i dun get to work at saturdays also. so one month will earn like onli $960 and minus off CPF will be 800 onli. so little.
but if i dun accept dat one i dunno if there's other jobs anot. i'm really running low on my survival fund (which is my bank savings account). sads. really.
