The clean look

1. Why do I have so much facial hair?
2. Why do my friends call me daddy?
3. Should I leave the hair growing to get the Captain America look?
I mean, this look kind of grew on me actually but once I think of the hassle of shaving them off or the thick hair left on my face it's kinda turn off.

And why did I buy such an expensive pair of white leather sneakers?
I wore them for the first few times and the side of my toes hurt. I have to wear them more often because the leather will soften over time like my office shoes but the more I wear them the more dirty they get and I don't want to get them dirty and I have to maintain them with repellent spray and wipe every time I wear them. But if I dont wear them the leather will not soften and they will not be comfortable. Argh.

Haps Raya drinking week

This week has been very eventful, I mean lotsa events happening.

Sunday I was walking around alone buying tonic and I walked past Aesop. Then I spotted my cousin and her family there so I went to say hi, and they asked me if I wanted to go to the new Soup Curry place with them. I was very surprised that Suage, the Sapporo Soup Curry, my favourite thing in Hokkaido has opened an outlet in Singapore, the only outlet outside Hokkaido. And it was so noms I can't believe I haven't had it for a year. I really love soup curry.
Wednesday was a holiday but I woke up at 8am to go to JB with Nedy for this awesome quesalida and hotcakes. They look and tastes really good, and the best thing is - they are one third of the price compared to Sg.

Thursday was the annual event that I organise for my company, with lotsa food and alcohol. It looks good because I ordered the food and drinks. After the event I had 6 big bottles of coke and 30 cans of Tiger beer to clear so I brought them all home.

And, Andrew came to visit from Hong Kong. We went to our favourite gin bar after that. I was only going to get one drink only because I still had work the next day, but he wouldn't let me so we had 2 rounds. I was a bit tipsy after the party. I had more than 5 glasses of wine, a can of beer and now 2 gin tonics. I haven't been so tipsy since London. The drinks were delicious, as usual.

Friday came and I felt like I wasn't productive the whole week. On a really surprising note, I've got 2 calls for interview the next week, which was scary and nice at the same time.

Today was catching up with LJ and Reika gang at LJ's new home.
This week was really drinking week for me. Oh and I gave LJ my Cask Aged gin that I bought from London and it was really good. I need to buy another bottle for myself.

We caught up with my monthly rendezvous, my exciting London trip and upcoming trips. LOL. Mostly they wanted to know what has happened with my dramatic life in the past 6 months. I seem to have something every month for them to talk about and they were categorising using months. Sighs to their married life, and they were playing with my tinder and helping me swipe people for at least an hour.

Reika's famous words: We only go for the A list. I miss Marquie.

dreaming of snow

Yesterday night I dreamt that I was in Japan in November and I was taking a Instagram story using my phone and all around me was pillowy white fluffy snow, a few pine trees and snow mountains far in the background. I was planting a pine tree into the snow and was thinking OMG this is perfect, I can't wait to be there in end Jan to snowboard.

And then zoom it went to the food street, I was walking towards this grilled seafood shop for some grilled oysters and went into the shop. Then I saw my manager walk past the shop and I was thinking wow luckily she didn't see me.

Sighs my manager even appeared in my dreams, I can't believe it.

Thinking about free stuff

These days I'm having free stuff.

From NS:
Free $60 cold storage vouchers
Free $10 grab voucher
Free $30 cake voucher

From the company:
Free shoe bag
Free smoked salmon salad and peach tea
Free subway and Ribena
Free frozen yogurt with 2 toppings
Free Bengawan Solo cakes
and of course free calories, but my waist size has gone down to 28 from 30.

Also, I received my Python for Data Analysis book which I bought from Amazon US. I need to start practicing.

I've been thinking during working hours about what I like and what I dislike about my current job.
I feel like leaving the job now and do other things.
What should I do now???!

Record breaking

1. My favourite gin in the world Kinobi just won the world best gin. Congratulations! They have come a long way, and I've been dying to try their new old toms and get hold of the Ki No Tea.

2. Up till end July, I have only saved 20% of my total income. This is the worst record ever, but if I only travel once until December and be consistent in my savings, I'm able to reach my target of more than 40% saving.

3. In July, I spent a total of less than $400 on daily expenses! This incredible feat is due to my incredibly stringent budgeting plan which involved not going to the bars to drink for 4 weekends and taking cabs. I didn't even spend money on alcohol because I'm drinking all my bottles at home or at my friend's place. I did shop for a bit at Uniqlo but the pants were on sale $20. Less than $400 a month is kinda recording breaking for me, I have not spent so little since University (I think).

To think back, all I spent in university is actually on food and transport, and we had student fare then. I didn't shop much, I didn't travel much (ok once a year), I didn't drink at all, I don't even snack. But I was scrawny then. I didn't gym, I just jogged and swam. No branded clothes, no branded shoes or bags because I couldn't afford it. Maybe I should go back to that lifestyle. Having a job and earning money is so poisonous. It entices you to spend money.
