Make people laugh

Another ghost yesterday.

Like, people do that to each other. I admit I do that to people and I tend to think that it's karma - I do that to people and people will do that to me. Then, how to get somebody's attention or how to not be ghosted.

I read an abstract in a book today and it dawned on me. This character is writing a letter to one of her pen pal and she told him - girls like nice boys and boys who make them laugh. Ok now I get it and honestly this has worked for me. I really enjoyed the company of people who makes me laugh. And also people enjoy my company when I am the joker around. Everybody has to have fun together.

Now I have to turn on my make people laugh mode.

Plans and savings

Since travelling is still not allowed (argh) I feel kinda aimless after CNY, like what am I supposed to do? What am I supposed to plan? It's just work, reading, gym, eating everyday and working on my to-buy-in-Japan list. I need more objectives.

My objective for first half of the year is to:

Get gold for IPPT - which I am already working on right now with all the running and gym.

Work to get a good increment and bonus - already working on it.

Curing my face eczema - working on it. No eating of prawns unless really necessary.

Marie Kondo my wardrobe and cupboard - already done one round of it last year and last last year. It's never ending! Sometimes I just feel wasted throwing them away and also they ain't that sellable.

Second half of the year:

Prepare for next year - preliminary research done.

Save more money - this is always on going but it's better than expected with no travelling. I just need to accumulate more money. It's all about accumulation of money this year. 

Oh did I mention I just sold my LOTR Lego for with a 16% profit margin? 

I think limited edition Legos are the best investment to keep, I kept that one for 5 years. I'm selling another of my limited edition Star Wars Lego as well, it has been gaining traction. 

Oh and also I managed to sell my aunt's LV bag which I have been keeping for the longest time. Commission woohoo!

CNY 2021

After the night of crazy kathy it was CNY eve. I woke up to work half day, then went over to my aunt's place for lunch and bai bai - the burning of paper for ancestors. 

I love love love when she cooks up a feast. The curry chicken, the braised duck, the pork rib soup are all so on point. I can eat these forever. 

After that was just playing with the cousin's kids etc. And at night I went to collect my wonderful 190g Baies candle which I bought for $60 on Carousell hehe. 

Next candle - Le Labo Santal. Oh and some texting with Skylar in NY.

This year's CNY is one of a kind for everyone. Nobody's allowed to travel overseas so we can't go back to Port Dickson, and there are limits to the number of visitors. CNY first day we had steamboat for lunch at home, and then I went over to aunt's house again to see some relatives and angbao collecting, then went back home to binge watch some shows. At night drove to NTU. 

The second day of CNY my mum cooked up another feast - mutton curry, chinese seafood soup, huge steamed fish and fried pork belly. My Msian uncles were all stuck here so they came over for lunch, and I just ate by myself after gym. I was so full. And then went over to Wei Ling's place for dinner. 

It was crazy. We had Sukiyaki, sashimi and BBQ A4 Wagyu. The A4 wagyu was sooooooooooo good. Just look at the marbling.

My stomach almost exploded. After that we had whisky, played some poker and I headed home at around 11.30. 

I was so full when I went to bed, and I woke up at around 4am, still feeling too full to sleep. I cannot torture myself like that anymore. The food is amazing but my stomach is crying. I think I can't eat buffet nowadays it's so torturous. 

Sigh all the good food during CNY. It was indeed a prosperous and happy CNY. Hopefully we can go back to Port Dickson next year. 

Crazy drunk Kathy

Kathy is very scary when she's drunk.

Yesterday night we went drinking free flow sake at an izakaya and she was really drunk, but she doesn't look or sound like she's drunk, and then we went to sit by Andaz.

She fell down twice, head first, but luckily it was on some bushes. OMG.

She was very touchy and we made out twice. Like WUD.

She tells me about her high sex drive and sexual experiences with her ex.

She said she made out with one of my friend during our skiing trip WUD.

She walked away while I was using her phone to book a grab for her.

 

Luckily I was still quite sober because of the curry rice I ate which absorbed all the sake. And in the end I managed to get her home safely in a comfort cab I booked. She didn't know what happened when she texted me in the morning.

Holy shit she is damn scary. Yea, never again.

Feb dinners

The dinners continued in Feb.

Victor came back and he brought me to a cute little Japanese Izakaya hidden in Orchard. The food was good but too pricey by my standards. We had pasta, oysters, raw salmon katsu, squid tempura and a few highballs. Just look at the gradient of the salmon katsu.

After that Vivi came over to my place for drinks and she bought me a whole lot of fever-tree tonics lol she's crazy and after a few drinks we also went crazy and the hangover the next day was super bad. Luckily I woke up to puke in the middle of the night lol. I should have went to the gym to clear my hangover but I had a dinner appointment with Alan.

Dinner with Alan was nothing much except he got scammed of the beef steak. It was $29 per 100g but the waiter said it was going to be 400g and then he had to pay $127 for a big piece of steak. I guess he should have paid more attention to the menu. It was a good catchup with him and listening to his playboy stories. 

CNY is here. More eatings and more angbaos to come!
