Rememberance of Earth's Past

Just finished this trilogy of books named Rememberance of Earth's Past.

The ending just blow me away. Everything the author wrote in this sci-fi novel is so plausible. From the time of China's civil war to whenever, the law of physics is the greatest weapon that anyone could use. It defies the constant of time and space. Speed of light, thought to be a constant, is actually not. Light defines time, time defines space, so there is truely nothing physically constant in the universe.

The L thing

All of a sudden the London thing came up again this week at work. Apparently somebody had been thinking and changed his mind all of a sudden to reduce costs in the local office??!?! That's a retarded reason but that's besides the point.

I'm conflicted. 30% of me says hell yeah just do it, 40% of me says it's going to be so troublesome, 30% of me just stopped thinking. I'm going with remaining neutral and go with the flow. Happen or not, there are so many factors at play and I gotta make plans for whatever.

Babies, puberty, 30

This is Huiting's son at 2 months old. We went to visit this little boy at her house last weekend and he's super cute and so curious about everything! Huiting seemed so experienced as a mum and she's not even frantic when this kid was whining coz he's hungry hahaha. Anyway that's the pirate hat I made from his bib.

I just saw a video on second puberty at age 30 and it seemed to be really true!
I mean first puberty was around 14-15yo and second should be 14-15 years later, which is kind happening at my age. Body goes through some changes, metabolism slows down, signs of aging shows, hair loss on head and gains on other parts, body aches, injuries and such. OMG. That reminds me about my shoulder pain when I bench. Yoga really helps - I have been doing some poses after my gym sessions to ease up the pain.

I should sign up for a yoga class soon.

How to almost become a Japanese

  1. Plan your next Japan trip
    • Research on the place you want to go around Hokkaido and Tokyo in summer with the Shinkansen pass and book your hotels way in advance, probably 3-4 months earlier.
    • Tell your Japanese friends that you are going to visit and plan to go to the fireworks festival with them and visit the famous lavender fields.
    • Book the cheapest flight you can find, around $470 so you can fly on that day you end work and reach Japan in the morning to maximize your day and fits nicely with the train schedule.
  2. Join a Japanese language class
    • Use your skills-future funds and join a class that starts immediately every Tuesday and ends before you fly to Japan so that you can communicate better with your Japanese friends as well as the waitress at the Izakaya.
  3. Buy Japanese stuff
    • Visit the website that you are going to buy your ski jacket from and look at their selection.
    • Shortlist this $370 ski jacket and $200 ski jacket and pants that you like and then think about which one to get for a week.
    • Finally get down to buying the $370 one but last minute can't bear to click on the "confirm purchase" button but end up clicking anyway and get it sent to your cousin's hotel in Tokyo, just because you got another round of bonus from your company.
    • Get a text from your cousin saying she bought her set of ski clothes for $130 in Tokyo because of sale and try not to cry because yours is too expensive.
    • Plan to buy your pants cheaper then and begin to plan your next few winter seasons in Japan.
  4. Plan to buy Japanese alcohol
    • Go to a local bar that serves regionally produced spirits and get introduced to this amazing Japanese Gin and plan to buy many back. This is the first Japanese-distilled Gin made from local ingredients.
Finally, look forward and be excited and plan your attire everyday for the Japanese Summer!
Exactly 3 more months from now!

      tired

I'm so damn tired. Physically and mentally.

I guess it's the lack of sleep and rest after a hard day of work and forcing myself to go to the gym that made me so exhausted. I haven't napped for so long now.

      Gimme some rest this weekend!
