What I feel about Swiss

After not being overseas for 2 years it was so refreshing for all of us. I wonder how it started.. When we were in school I didn't actually feel the need to travel or go overseas, I was happy just wondering around SG, probably coz I didn't have money.

The first breath of fresh Swiss air in the cold morning once we stepped out of the hotel with the sun shinning on our faces. No masks. That was bliss. It feels so good. The weather was perfect for us, it was bright and sunny all the way, no rain no snow - it snowed on the weekend after we came back.
The people were surprisingly nice! Like the shop managers will greet you or apologize for not attending to you and they will bid you goodbye even if you didn't buy anything. We met very interesting people along the way, the first being the super friendly and funny store manager from Du Rhone Chocolate. He lets us try everything in the shop like free flow buffet lol. Then comes the super friendly sugar mummy from Luzern, and the super funny Bally store manager who lived in Singapore for 12 years and talked to us in Sg accent. Even on trains people will move around seats just to let us sit together, or help with our luggage etc. Really really nice and friendly people as compared to London or Paris, even the customs officers were funny and friendly. No scams, no thefts etc.

Most of the time our food was good, just that it was too expensive. Every meal is more than SGD50 and we didn't eat like really full. The portions were big though. Hotels were quite lacking compared to Asian hotels - nothing beats Japanese hotels. There were no room slippers nor kettles in the rooms, most rooms were quite basic. Shopping is expensive compared to London or Paris.

I'm not sure if I would come back, there's nothing much I would do or buy here, except for skiing probably. I mean, UK or France would be best for luxury items, I can also buy chocolates from there, I'm not really a watch or cheese person, UK gin is better as well. I bought 3 bottles of wine, 2 full bottles and 3 small bottles of gin, 1 small bottle of whisky and lotsa of chocolates. I also bought hot chocolate powder back and 2 Rituals candles hehe. I'm a fan of Rituals now and so much cheaper than Diptyque.
They bought Longchamp bags, Bally belt, I finally got my first LV - the aerogram pocket organiser which I love. Also, pictures from Iphone 13 pro is absolutely gorgeous.

It was a really good trip.
