2024 Tokyo to Appi Kogen Day 1 and 2

After having 2 previous wonderful JAL experiences, I decided to book JAL direct flight to Tokyo because the price was ok, around $858 and the timing matched with Neab's and Angus'.

Woke up in the morning at 5.30am, showered, locked house and grabbed to the airport.

The food from SG to NRT was not as good as the return leg, maybe because I was sleeping while they served meals haha. The flight was still good, quite an empty flight on a Monday morning and I managed to see Mt Fuji. I arrived 40mins early, met Neab and went straight to the hotel to put down our stuff, then dinner with Angus. The weather was warmer than expected, we took the train to Harajuku.
Luckily we went straight to the restaurant to queue, because we managed to get the last 3 sets of hamburger steak. It was quite amazing, the steak freshly grilled with the egg and rice. And Angus treated.
After that we went shopping at Shinjuku because Neab wanted to buy a ski suit so we went to Aspen Tokyo and he bought one! And there were so many nice suits on sale urgh I should have bought mine there instead of online. Then to our favourite Izakaya - Toriki for supper and drinks, then back hotel to sleep.

Day 2 was the trip to Appi - we checked out, ate Tonkatsu at Tokyo station, shopped at Uniqlo there, changed our JR passes, bought snacks and boarded the Shinkansen to Morioka.
2.5 hours later, we reached, shopped there for an hour and boarded the local train to Appi Kogen for an hour. Reached at 5.45pm and it was dark already, the hotel didn't send their car so we called them and they came in 5mins.

We checked in, arranged our stuff and went straight to the private onsen. It was picture galore there lol. First day we already took so many pics together.
It was half board - meaning dinner was provided and they will serve their famous Iwate beef for every dinner. It was hotpot that day, we had so many course and drink a bit as well.
The snow looks very promising and I was very excited to start riding.
